DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LEH – ACCLIMATIZATION & LOCAL EXPLORATION

Activities:

• Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh.
• Check-in and rest to acclimatize to the high altitude.
• Evening visit to Leh Market and Shanti Stupa for panoramic views.
• Overnight: Leh

DAY 2: LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA

• Distance: ~125 km
• Duration: ~5–6 hours
• Route: Leh → Khardung La Pass → Khalsar → Diskit/Hunder

Highlights:

• Khardung La Pass (5,359 m)
• Diskit Monastery
• Hunder Sand Dunes (optional Bactrian camel ride)
• Overnight: Hunder or Diskit

DAY 3 : NUBRA VALLEY TO TURTUK AND RETURN

• Distance: ~90 km (one way)
• Duration: ~3–4 hours (one way)
• Route: Hunder/Diskit → Bogdang → Turtuk

• Turtuk Village (last Indian village before the Pakistan border)
• Explore Balti culture and traditional homes
• Overnight: Return to Hunder or Diskit

DAY 4: NUBRA VALLEY TO PANGONG LAKE VIA SHYOK ROUTE

• Distance: ~220 km
• Duration: ~7–8 hours
• Route: Diskit → Agham → Shyok → Durbuk → Tangtse → Pangong Lake

Highlights:

• Scenic drive along the Shyok River
• Pangong Lake (4,350 m)
• Overnight: Campsite near Pangong Lake

DAY 5: PANGONG LAKE TO LEH VIA CHANG LA

• Distance: ~160 km
• Duration: ~5–6 hours
• Route: Pangong → Chang La Pass → Sakti → Karu → Leh

Highlights:

• Chang La Pass (5,360 m)
• Hemis Monastery (optional detour)
• Thiksey Monastery
• Overnight: Leh

DAY 6: LEH TO KARGIL – SCENIC DRIVE THROUGH SHAM VALLEY

• Duration: ~6 hours
• Route: Leh → Nimmu → Alchi → Lamayuru → Mulbekh → Kargil

• Confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers
• Alchi Monastery

Day 7: Kargil to Srinagar – From Warrior Lands to Paradise
